Fees

We know that homeschooling can be expensive!  We do everything we can to make Mosaic affordable, while providing a quality educational and social experience for families.  We keep our costs low by utilizing the teaching gifts of our volunteer-parents.  We are a completely volunteer-led co-op community.

(Please note that the following fee structure is for the 2017-2018 school year. )

Family Fee
Each family will pay an annual $325 family fee.

In addition to the family fee, class fees will be charged for each student (per fee table below).

Payment #2:  50% of Remaining Total Fees due by July 1st

Payment #3:  Remainder of Fees due by November 15th
  • If all fees are not paid on time a family will lose their spot unless a pre-arrangement is made with the Directors.  If there is a waiting list another family will be offered that place.
  • One of our goals is to make life as easy as possible for Mosaic parents. We want you to show up on Orientation Day having done the least amount of running around town or scouring the internet possible. For Music and Art everything is included in your class fee. For Humanities and Science we will provide a binder for each class full of all the student pages your child(ren) will need for the entire year!  Everything your student uses in the classroom will be provided, so parents will not have to send classroom supplies with their children

Additional Costs to Consider:
All costs for additional materials are approximate for the 2017-2018 school year.  We have done our best to provide as accurate numbers as we are able, but with so many variables it is impossible to provide exact amounts. We will be providing all book lists on our parent-only site in May.

Babies, Toddlers, PreK-3, PreK-4, and Kindergarten Students will simply need the basic supplies for their school day.  Each student will need to bring a leak-proof water bottle, nap mats (if applicable), backpack for bringing student work home, and a lunch box.

History Curriculum – Biblioplan:  Each family with children in Lower Grammar through Rhetoric will need to buy parts of the Biblioplan curriculum, depending on the level of their children.

Supplemental Books:  Some books are required for levels K through Rhetoric.  A booklist will be provided for each level, and the amount will vary between $20 for Kindergarten and $150 for Rhetoric Students.  We try to keep the cost of books as low as possible so as to remove barriers to joining! We will also provide you with suggestions on buying e-versions of books, or used books.  Often, even free versions are available online, or at the library.

Ukulele: (For students in Lower Grammar A, B, C & Upper Grammar levels, only ) We will provide you with information on how to choose the best one for your family.  Figure approx. $50 for a good, quality instrument.

Optional Field trips: 1 per month; some are free, others have entrance fees, driving costs, etc.
